In 1926, George Curtis Sr. opened Curtis Brothers Furniture in Washington, D.C., laying the foundation for what would become a century-long family business. The furniture company became a well-known part of the Anacostia community, even creating the iconic “Big Chair” that became a neighborhood landmark.

As the Curtis family continued to grow, the business evolved beyond furniture and expanded into real estate. Curtis Investment Group went on to become a diversified real estate company with commercial, retail, office and industrial properties throughout Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Today, that same spirit of entrepreneurship, family and community continues through Curtis Auto Group. Built on the foundation established generations ago, Curtis Auto Group carries the Curtis name into a new chapter while remaining committed to the principle that has guided the company from the beginning: Family Serving Families.
